I'm 41 weeks now, massively huge and still waiting for any action to occur! But it gave us a bit more time to get a few more things done like finally making our baby mobile. I had seen some super cute ideas on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a go. I had to combine two things I love, hearts and pompoms and loved the look of hanging them from a found branch. All three of us worked on this mobile from selecting the 'just right' stick, to sanding and painting, and then threading and arranging all the pieces. While hammering in the branch to the cot (which was a lot harder than predicted) all the threads, pompoms and hearts got so completely tangled and knotted that I had to cut off and redo nearly all of them the next day, which by the way was extremely hard to reach over with my big belly!
I also made this cat proof net from cute star tulle which was only $4/metre. After looking everywhere for a commercial one and not finding any nearby or finding some on the net for an insane amount, I finally resorted to giving it a go myself. Lets just say that pinning on the elastic in a somewhat even way was a major pain and I never want to do that again!
And lastly I eventually finished some nappy covers that have been sitting in a pile, pinned together for months! I got the very easy to follow pattern from here.
